"OUIHENG" was first founded in 1932 at Thaprachan Road, Bangkok
by Mr. Lieng TengAmnuay as a grocery store. Fifteen years later, Mr.
Kian TengAmnuay (Mr. Lieng's son) started pharmaceutical sales business
by turning the grocery partly into drugstore. In 1956, the business
became 100% drugstore and was registered under the name of OUIHENG Co.
Ltd. OUIHENG grew to be a leading drugstore especially, it became one
of the two biggest pharmaceutical wholesalers in Thailand since 1963.
GREATER PHARMA Ltd.,
Part. was founded in the year 1967 to represent various pharmaceutical
agencies from aboard and began its local manufacturing of pharmaceutical
products sold under its own trademark since 1969.
OUIHENG
IMPORT CO. LTD.,
was later established in 1969 to distribute all oversea pharmaceutical
products and its local manufacturing brands from GREATER PHARMA LP through
out the country. From 1978, OUIHENG IMPORT had extended its business
unit to the consumer product line under the Consumer Division in addition
to its Pharmaceutical Division. OUIHENG IMPORT had grown to be one of
the leading company as distributor and licensee from various oversea
and domestic principals in both pharmaceutical and consumer channels.
To remain competitive
and focus in pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, a new registered
company under the name "OUIHENG CONSUMER CO. LTD." was established
in January, 2001 to take on the consumer product line from OUIHENG IMPORT
in order to be more focus and competitive in the consumer modern trade
channel. OUIHENG IMPORT remains focus and expertise in providing services
and distribution among pharmaceutical, cosmetic, health and personal
care principals in the medical and modern trade channels.
